Ford Employees' Homes

Below are examples of Ford Employees' Homes on the south side of Park Street, Dearborn, MI, in 1919. Ford wanted his workers to live in single-family residences rather than packed together in tenement-style apartments, as immigrants often did in this period, because Ford regarded tenements as unhealthy and immoral. Note the Model T’s parked on the street.
