Edsel Ford

Edsel Bryant Ford, president of Ford Motor Company from 1919 until his death in 1943, was born to Henry and Clara Bryant Ford, on Nov. 6, 1893. After succeeding his father as President of Ford, he had his hand in the design of all Ford products following the Model T. The Mercury, Lincoln, and Lincoln Zephyr cars were largely conceived, designed, and manufactured under his direction, as were the Model A Ford (1927) and the V-8 lines (1932).

Below, Edsel Ford is pictured during the National Air Tour, at the Air Olympics, June 30, 1928. His son, Henry Ford II, can be seen in lower right corner.
